This recipe turns the classic American sandwich into a burger. A juicy beef burger pattie topped with crisp bacon, lettuce, and tomato on toasted brioche bun with ketchup and mayonnaise, and don't forget the fries. Burger heaven!

As well as your basic cooking tools, you will need...
Frying Pan
Oven Tray
Preheat the oven to 200C. Cut the potatoes into batons (the thinner the fries, the faster they will cook). Toss with salt, pepper and olive oil. Spread over a lined baking tray and cook for 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
Tip! Use two trays if needed to spread out the fries in a single layer to help them brown and crisp.
While the fries are cooking, combine the beef mince and onion/garlic powder in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly to combine. Form into patties (1 per person).
Brush both sides of burger patties with oil. Heat a frying pan over a medium high heat. Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes each side until cooked almost through. In the same pan, grill middle speck bacon until cooked to your liking, around 4 minutes.
Toast buns in a dry pan for 1-2 minute or toast under the grill.
Spread the mayo on one side of the toasted bun and tomato sauce on the other. Slice the tomato. Assemble the burger by layering the lettuce, sliced tomato, burger patty and bacon on the bun. Serve with the wedges on the side.
