Cheesesteak is a popular regional fast food with its roots in the USA city of Philadelphia. We've made this classic for you with a combination of juicy meatballs, jammy caramelised onions, tender capsicum, and ooey-gooey melted cheese. It's truly addictive!
2 Each Vietnamese Baguette
1 Each Brown Onion
1 Each Red Capsicum (Small)
3 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard & Mayonnaise
2 Each Swiss Cheese Slices
1 Cup Mixed Lettuce
1 Tablespoon Italian Salad Dressing
300 g Beef Mince
0.25 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1 Each Egg (pantry)

Slice brown onion and red capsicum finely. Heat a pan over medium high heat and add a swirl of oil. Fry veg for 8-10 minutes, stirring often until caramelised and golden. Season to taste.
Heat oven to 200°C. Combine beef mince, panko bread crumbs and egg with salt and pepper. Mix well and roll into 3-4 meatballs per serve. Heat a pan over medium high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Fry meatballs for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked through.
Cut baguettes down the middle but not the whole way through. Spread with Dijon mustard & mayonnaise on both sides. Load meatballs into buns, followed by onion and capsicum mix and Swiss cheese slices.
Place baguettes on the oven tray and cook for 4-5 minutes until cheese has melted and baguettes are piping hot. Serve hoagies, while still hot from the oven, with a side salad of mixed lettuce and Italian dressing.
