Speedy Tuscan Meatball Hoagies with Garlic Aioli and Capsicum

Simple and satisfying, this is the ultimate movie night meal. Ilonka have done all the heavy lifting with their tender juicy meatballs cooked in a delicious tomato sauce. Combined with crispy bread, garlic aioli, fresh capsicum and golden gooey cheese. The best part is that it will be on your plate in under 10 minutes.

Step 1

1 Cook Capsicum and Heat Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Slice capsicum. Heat a pan on medium high heat with a drizzle of oil. Add the capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes. Place the tuscan meatballs with the sauce in a microwave bowl and heat in the microwave until piping hot, about 2-4 minutes.

Step 2

2 Make Your Hoagies

Slice hotdog buns down the centre, being careful not to cut all the way through. Place the buns on a lined baking tray and spread garlic aioli on the inside of each bun. Fill the buns with meatballs and capsicum. Top with cheese. Grill in the oven until the cheese is bubbly, golden and melted through.

Tip! You could use an air-fryer for 3-4 minutes instead of the oven if you prefer.
