About the team
You Plate It was bootstrapped in 2014 by Paul and Mark who remain the sole owners. Our legal entity is still Storage Seeker Pty Ltd because our very first venture was an online self-storage booking site. That experience taught us a crucial lesson: trying to force an interest in something just isn’t sustainable in the long run. Realising we needed to build a business around something we were genuinely passionate about, we launched You Plate It.
Hey there! I’m Mark.
I live in the South West and am obsessed with fresh produce. I work closely with our amazing growers and producers to bring you the best ingredients. While I’ve become a much better cook thanks to You Plate It, I’ll always be a food lover, not a food maker and the team knows to steer clear of my ‘cooking tips’!
Hi! I’m Paul.
I love spending time in the kitchen creating and perfecting meals. I’ve always been fascinated by different cooking techniques—I even built my own sous vide machine! Outside the kitchen, I’m responsible for our warehouse and the IT that supports us.
It’s a team effort!
Behind every meal kit is a Perth-based team of over 70 people. From our chefs, nutritionists, and buyers to our tech wizards, packers and delivery drivers, our crew works behind the scenes every week to make sure your experience ordering and cooking with us is seamless, stress-free, and delicious.
